An exciting position has arisen to work within NWSSP Supply Chain Logistics & Transport as a Receipt & Distribution (R&D) Stores Manager.
Job Overview
The working hours for this role will be a weekly rotating shift pattern of 07:30 - 15:30 and 10:00 - 18:00, Monday to Friday.
This role involves managing the Supply Chain and Receipt & Distribution team within the R&D function, overseeing the Receipting and Goods In functions at the Receipt & Distribution site.
You will support management in developing and modernising the R&D functions, handle queries and issues, promote positive health and safety practices, ensure high-quality service, and supervise staff.
Knowledge of Welsh is desirable; applications from both Welsh and English speakers are welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee receipt of stock into the R&D stores from third parties and regional stores.
* Scan stock items allocated to wards for scheduling and timely delivery.
* Deliver stock and non-stock items across the health board site.
* Assist in the unloading of vehicles and staging items for distribution.
* Supervise and oversee the booking-in process.
* Support the implementation of process modernisation.
* Monitor staff performance using various audit methods.
Main Duties
* Manage workload distribution among staff.
* Ensure resources and equipment are adequate for daily operations.
* Maintain security of the receipts area.
* Supervise staff activity to meet service standards.
* Allocate staff to tasks efficiently.
* Maintain and update quality information.
* Assist in the punctual unloading of vehicles and staging of items.
* Support staff performance monitoring and staff development.

Experience
* Educated to HNC/Diploma level or equivalent experience in a stores environment.
* Experience in policy development, implementing changes, and supervising or managing staff.
Knowledge
* Understanding of risk assessments and risk management in busy environments.
* Experience with systems development, enhancements, and staff training.
