About the role
You will be responsible for:
* Efficiently plan daily transport schedules, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and the consolidation of trans-ship loads
* Ensuring all drivers use the app for tracking, pods and KPI reports
* Track delivery performance – recording depot departure times, delivery times and provide handover report for senior management
* Maintain and update driver rotas, track vehicles via Velocity & WADS, and ensure adequate assets and resources are available for daily operations.
* Monitor customer order flow and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely fulfilment and communication of any issues.
* Participate in periodic or ad-hoc stock reconciliation and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
* Manage bookings for inbound/outbound transport with third-party hauliers and customers, ensuring accurate scheduling and system updates
About you
* To work with adherence to processes and show examples of using own initiative, prioritization and forward-planning.
* Flexibility to work shift patterns (including unsociable hours) and work with adherence to processes
* Excellent IT skills
* Previous general warehousing / Transport experience
* Experience of the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System
* Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines & targets Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules and read understand and follow directions
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
