Casual Fitness Instructor – Larne

£13.69 per hour
We are currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Casual Fitness Instructors to join our team in Larne on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work within a dynamic leisure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prescribe exercise programmes for new and existing customers, including advice on diet and lifestyle
2. Work with a range of clients, including GP Referral, Special Needs, and Cardiac/Pulmonary Rehabilitation participants (where appropriately qualified)
3. Conduct inductions and fitness assessments for members as required
4. Deliver excellent customer service, handling enquiries, queries, and complaints professionally
5. Promote memberships and services, including conducting tours of the fitness suite
6. Support member retention and engagement through motivation and proactive follow-up
7. Promote events, activities, and facilities within the Leisure Centre
8. Carry out daily safety checks on fitness equipment and report defects
9. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the fitness suite
10. Ensure the safety of equipment and facilities, carrying out minor repairs where necessary
11. Participate in training and development activities and attend staff meetings
12. Deliver coaching sessions and activity programmes in line with qualifications
13. Monitor access to the facility and handle receipts and admissions where required
Essential Criteria:
14. A recognised Fitness Instructor qualification (e.g. REPs Level II, OCR Level II, GNVQ Level II, Gayton, or equivalent)
15. Minimum of six months’ experience working in a fitness suite or similar environment
