Salary: £150 - £230 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a large and inclusive secondary school in Manchester to appoint a Food Technology Teacher for a September 2025 start. The successful candidate will join a welcoming Design & Technology department, equipped with modern facilities and strong leadership support.
The role involves planning and delivering engaging Food Tech lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, preparing students for GCSE exams, and encouraging a positive, hands-on learning experience. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team and have access to CPD and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering the KS3–KS4 Food Technology curriculum
* Planning practical lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and assessing pupil progress
* Creating an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
* Contributing to department planning and enrichment activities
Ideal Candidate:
* Holds QTS/QTLS with a specialism in Food Technology (ECTs also welcome to apply)
* Strong knowledge of the secondary Design & Technology curriculum
* Enthusiastic about practical learning and pupil progress
* Reliable, adaptable, and committed to high standards
