Social Enterprise NI (SENI) is the representative body for social enterprises across Northern Ireland. We promote, support, and advocate for the sector, working to raise awareness and build capacity for social enterprises to thrive. As a key delivery partner in the cross-border RiSE (Rural Innovation & Social Enterprise) project, SENI is excited to recruit a dedicated Project Officer to support the implementation of this transformative initiative. RiSE is a collaborative, cross-border initiative involving partners from Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Scotland.
The project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body, SEUPB. The project aims to strengthen rural communities through social innovation, enterprise development, and shared learning. SENI's role focuses on promoting the programme, supporting group recruitment, facilitating knowledge exchange, and organising events that foster cross-border collaboration.
This is a fixed-term position, aligned with the RiSE project duration, ending in June 2029.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead SENI's delivery of the RiSE project in line with the partnership agreement.
* Support the recruitment of social enterprise groups and participants across Northern Ireland.
* Promote the RiSE programme through events, networks, and communications channels.
* Coordinate and facilitate sharing practice visits and cluster events to encourage crossborder learning.
* Organise and deliver the annual RiSE Recognition Event.
* Develop and document case studies showcasing project impact and best practices.
* Collaborate closely with project partners, particularly Rural Action, Irish Rural Link, and the Social Enterprise Academy Scotland.
* Attend and contribute to Project Steering Group (PSG) meetings (minimum 5 per year).
* Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with agreed outcomes and timelines.
* Represent SENI and the RiSE project at relevant stakeholder events and forums.
* Become a team member of Social Enterprise NI and contribute to the support of our members and potential members.
* Highlight any potential risks in meeting programme KPI's to line manager/steering group when needed.
