HR Manager (Generalist) – Hull / East Yorkshire Location: Hull area, with regular travel to other local sites
Working pattern: Mainly on-site, 1 day WFH per week
Salary: Up to £45,000 + benefits
Contract: Permanent, full-time

What you’ll be doing Strategic HR leadership
6. Partner with senior leaders to align HR strategy with commercial goals
7. Use people data and metrics to inform decision making
8. Support organisational design and workforce planning across sites
Talent acquisition & onboarding
9. Lead end-to-end recruitment across operational and technical roles
10. Manage agency relationships and hiring manager partnerships
11. Design and deliver structured onboarding programmes
Employee engagement & culture
12. Drive initiatives that improve engagement, wellbeing and retention
13. Promote a positive, inclusive culture across multiple locations
14. Manage the full employee lifecycle from start to finish
Performance & development
15. Oversee appraisals, goal setting and performance frameworks
16. Coach managers on difficult conversations and development planning
17. Coordinate statutory and professional training requirements
ER, policy & compliance
18. Provide expert ER advice on grievances, disciplinaries and conflict resolution
19. Maintain HR policies, handbook and contractual documentation
20. Ensure compliance with employment law and best practice
About you You’ll suit this role if you are confident, hands-on and comfortable working across several sites in a male-dominated engineering environment.
Essential
21. CIPD Level 3 (Level 5 preferred or in progress)
22. Proven experience across the full employee lifecycle
23. Strong knowledge of employment law, recruitment and performance management
24. Experience writing and implementing HR policies
25. Confident communicator at all levels
26. Full UK driving licence
