The role & about the client:
ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company with specialist expertise in new builds, extensions and refurbishments of self-storage facilities, alongside educational and residential projects.
Our client is seeking a Trainee Site Manager to join their team on a project based in Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction graduate or an ambitious individual looking to develop a long-term career in site management. You will be working closely with an experienced Site Manager, gaining hands-on exposure to all aspects of site operations and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting with the day-to-day management of site operations
Supporting the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries
Helping to ensure works are carried out safely, on time, and to a high standard
Assisting with health & safety compliance and site documentation
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
Supporting quality control and snagging processes The ideal candidate will have/be:
A graduate in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred)
Keen to learn and progress within site management
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive and professional attitude
Previous site experience (placement, internship, or similar) beneficial but not essential Pay & employment options:
Self-employed: £160-£180 per day
Permanent: £35,000+ per year (depending on experience) How to apply:
