We have exciting opportunities for a Site Manager to join Suir Engineering. The position will be based on a EP&R project in the North West of the UK.

Overall Role Objective
The Site Manager will be responsible for running all or part of a construction site. This will include budgeting, organisation, implementation, and scheduling of the projects.
What you will be doing?
Preparing the site and liaising with other construction professionals such as architects, engineers, buyers, estimators, [planners] and surveyors before construction work starts.
Developing the programme of work and strategy for making the project happen.
Overseeing all aspects of the construction project, from site mobilisation until commissioning stage. Activities will include material procurement, subcontractor management / workforce allocation and the management of quality.
Leading daily pre-start meetings to discuss the activities for that day and ensure all associated risks are adequately addressed.
Setting contractors to work, relaying design information from drawings, method statements and other relevant project documents.
Planning to prevent problems on site before they occur, for example, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts during construction, implementing appropriate solutions and escalating when necessary.
Monitoring progress, tracking milestones and reporting the information to the Project Manager.
Having a presence on site to provide assistance to sub-contractors and monitor quality of workmanship and adherence to specifications.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of site activities, progress reports, change management and as-built drawings.
Managing all aspects of Health & Safety and maintaining a good relationship with the internal HSE department.
Communicating with a range of people including the client, subcontractors, suppliers, the public and the workforce.
Foster a positive work environment, providing leadership, guidance and support to the team and encouraging productivity.
Stay updated on industry trends, construction technologies and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
Qualifications / Skills required
Relevant degree / diploma or certificate in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field and/or time served on civil engineering projects (a minimum of 10 years experience required).
5+ years of experience in a managerial role.
Valid SMSTS certificate along with the relevant CSCS card.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods, including thorough knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Familiarity with construction management software packages.
Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
Competent in conflict and crisis management.
Leadership and human resources management skills with a proven track record of building good relationships and motivating staff.
Knowledge, experience and competence in all aspects of health, safety and the environment.
