Now let us tell you about the role
1. Manage the daily operations of onsite material processing, recovery, and final disposal.
2. Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of all operational personnel.
3. Maintain health and safety compliance for all 3rd party visitors to the site.
4. Ensure compliance with the Environment Agency site permit and all relevant legislation.
5. Adhere to all company processes and procedures.
6. Play an active and leading role in the on-site senior management team.
7. Support recruitment, induction, and training of new employees.
8. Oversee training, development, and coaching of all employees.
9. Manage preventative maintenance of all plant, mobile plant, and equipment.
10. Liaise effectively with colleagues to ensure material transportation complies with offtake agreements and the site permit.
11. Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and conduct competency assessments for operations personnel.
12. Participate actively in the site SHEQ working group.
13. Conduct performance reviews of operational personnel.
14. Manage absence processes for operational staff.
15. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the facility.
16. Participate in daily site planning, review meetings, and regional processing meetings.
17. Maximize plant availability and material throughput while maintaining output specifications.
18. Ensure hygiene and housekeeping standards in welfare facilities.
19. Manage associated costs effectively.
20. Provide written reports as required.
21. Ensure sufficient labor availability for all operational shifts, safely and compliantly.
22. Manage absence and holiday processes effectively.
23. Review and approve payroll submissions.
Essential
* WAMITAB Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) with continued competency certification.
