Your new company – a well-established forestry and land management organisation – is seeking a Site Manager to oversee vegetation clearance works on a busy road near Pitlochry, Scotland. Known for delivering environmentally responsible solutions, they are preparing for a key roadside project starting in mid-November.
Role Overview
Starting mid-November and running until the end of March, you will manage site operations related to vegetation clearance, coordinate sub-contractor teams, ensure safety compliance, liaise with local authorities and stakeholders, and maintain progress against schedule. The role requires strong leadership and organisational skills to manage a busy roadside environment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Manage site operations related to vegetation clearance.
* Coordinate sub-contractor teams.
* Ensure safety compliance and health and safety regulations.
* liaise with local authorities and stakeholders.
* Maintain progress against schedule.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in site management, ideally highways or environmental works.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in roadside or high-risk environments.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills.
* Ability to manage subcontractors and ensure work is delivered to specification and on time.
* SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
* CSCS Required.
* First Aid.
