Site Manager – NEWLY WON CONTRACT Our client is a privately-owned construction business operating across the South of England, delivering a range of projects within the public and private sectors. They have built a reputation for quality delivery and long-term client relationships. We are looking for a Site Manager to lead site delivery on a range of projects across education, healthcare and commercial sectors. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, driving programme, maintaining health & safety standards and ensuring quality throughout. This role requires a proactive, organised individual with experience working on refurbishment projects and live environments. Duties and responsibilities Manage the day-to-day running of site operations Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site teams Monitor progress against programme and drive works to meet deadlines Ensure all works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and quality standards Maintain high standards of health & safety across site at all times Lead site meetings and provide clear updates to the project team Liaise with clients, consultants and the wider project team Identify and resolve issues proactively to avoid delays Manage the use of labour, plant and materials efficiently Ensure site is well organised, compliant and operating effectively Tickets/Qualifications * SMSTS – Essential * CSCS Card (Black or Gold – Site Manager level) - Essential * First Aid at Work – Essential * NVQ Level 4/6 in Construction Management (or equivalent) – Desirable * Asbestos Awareness – Desirable * Temporary Works / Scaffold Awareness – Desirable About you Key capabilities required for this role include: * Ability to demonstrate strong commercial acumen * Ability to bring an objective view to situations, bringing parties together to achieve successful outcomes * Ability to build strong teams who work together for the common good * Ability to lead teams and be a good team player * Ability to drive projects to a successful conclusion * Ability to drive and champion the use of IT in the construction process. Experience Required * A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager * Proven experience working as a Site Manager for a main contractor * Experience delivering projects within education, healthcare, listed build or commercial sectors * Strong background in refurbishment and/or new build projects * Experience working within live environments * Ability to manage subcontractors and drive programme on site * Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance * Experience liaising with clients, consultants and project teams * Track record of delivering projects on time and to a high standard What’s in it for you? * A salary ranging from £50,000 to £55,000 * A Car/Car allowance * Pension scheme to help you save for the future * Competitive annual leave entitlements with additional holiday accrual based on service.
