Head of People Service Delivery
Duration – 6 month FTC
Location: Cambridge
Working Pattern – Hybrid 2/3 days a week on site
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and forward‑thinking Head of People Service Delivery to join a large global business based in Cambridge. This is a key role responsible for driving operational excellence across People systems, processes, and services.
The successful candidate will lead a team operationally, ensuring service delivery is efficient, compliant, and increasingly automated. They will champion data quality, streamline processes, and embed a customer‑focused service model that supports both managers and employees.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and developing a high-performing Service Delivery team, ensuring capability, collaboration, and service excellence.
* Overseeing the optimisation and continuous improvement of People systems, including Workday.
* Ensuring strong data governance, accuracy, and integrity across all People data.
* Managing and enhancing core People administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
* Driving process improvement, automation, and standardisation to improve service efficiency.
* Ensuring compliance with employment law, data privacy, and organisational policies.
* Establishing clear SLAs, KPIs, and service review mechanisms to enhance People Operations delivery.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven leadership experience within HR operations, shared services, or People service delivery in a complex organisation.
* Strong expertise in HR systems (ideally Workday) and HR technology optimisation.
* Extensive knowledge of employment law, data privacy, governance, and compliance.
* Significant experience in data quality, process improvement, and systems administration.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, communicate, and partner effectively across all levels.
