We're working in partnership with a well-established, market-leading FMCG and supply chain organisation to appoint an HR Officer on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Please note: This is a predominantly site-based role, with four days onsite each week and regular travel across Belfast locations. The Opportunity As HR Officer, you will partner closely with site management teams and an experienced HR Business Partner function, delivering comprehensive, hands-on HR support across multiple operational sites. You'll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle while building your employee relations capability in a fast-paced, unionised environment. Key ResponsibilitiesManage HR administration across the full employee lifecycle - recruitment, onboarding, contractual changes, payroll liaison, probation, absence, and leaversProvide first-line HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and best practiceSupport employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary and grievance processes (with guidance from senior HR colleagues)Assist with performance and absence management processesMaintain accurate HR records and reporting, including KPIs and compliance documentationCoordinate training activities, conduct training needs analysis, and support learning initiativesContribute to employee engagement and communication initiatives across sitesSupport continuous improvement and HR projects as requiredBuild strong working relationships with operational leaders and key stakeholdersAbout You You are practical, organised, and confident operating in a busy environment. You enjoy working closely with managers, providing pragmatic HR support, and being visible on site.
