Summary
Morson Edge is seeking a motivated Entry Level Solar Installer to join a leading UK commercial and industrial rooftop solar provider. This permanent role offers a Monday to Thursday working pattern with regular nationwide travel and overnight stays, typically four nights per week. Designed for individuals starting their career in solar installation, the role provides structured training, on-site learning, and close support from experienced installers. Responsibilities include assisting with roof preparation, materials handling, DC cable installation, and maintaining a safe, organised working environment. The role requires adherence to site protocols, method statements, and health and safety standards. Training includes completion of onboarding health and safety modules, Working at Height training, and enrolment in the Elevate training programme. This position offers a clear pathway for long-term career development within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Support solar installation activities under direct supervision
Assist senior installers with roof preparation, materials handling, and DC cable installation
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Handle tools, equipment, and materials in line with health and safety requirements
Follow site protocols, method statements, and instructions at all times
Actively participate in training programmes and on-site coaching
Candidate Requirements
No previous solar installation experience required
Reliable, motivated, and committed to learning a skilled trade
Confident working at height and within a construction site environment
Basic awareness of hand tools or willingness to develop these skills
Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
Flexibility to work nationwide with regular overnight stays

£33,000 basic salary
