About the Role We're seeking a motivated individual to provide essential administrative support to the HR department on a part time basis. This is an excellent entry-level position offering comprehensive training and career development opportunities within a supportive team environment. You'll be working with a large workforce of over 1000 employees, gaining valuable experience across multiple HR functions while contributing to the smooth operation of the department. The role is offered on a part time basis of up to 30 hours a week on a flexible basis with hours and working times to suit the chosen candidate. Key Responsibilities Assist the HR & payroll team with processing payroll, data checking to e nsure accuracy Handle password reset requests for employee intranet access Organise in-house training sessions from start to finish Coordinate venues and arrange accommodation where required Send joining instructions to delegates and prepare training materials Process reference requests efficiently and professionally Manage stationery orders and office supplies, h andle filing, scanning, and document management Support the wider HR team with various administrative tasks as required What We're Looking For Essential Skills: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong initiative and capability to work independently when required Outstanding organisational and time management skills IT proficiency, particularly Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Outlook) Exceptional team player with integrity, positivity, and respect for colleagues Absolute discretion and understanding of confidentiality requirements Desirable but Not Essential: Previous payroll experience or knowledge (full training provided) Background in HR or administrative roles What We Offer Hourly pay of £12.25-£13.00 hour depending on exp Hours to suit you between 20-30 hours a week Comprehensive training programme to get you started Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth Varied role with exposure to multiple HR functions Competitive salary appropriate for entry level Opportunity to develop your career in HR Location Carlisle - Part Time up to 30 hours, Flexible hours to suit.
