Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook/ Fryer to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, along with a strong understanding of food safety practices. As a Cook/ Fryer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of fried foods according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality control.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as needed.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
* Follow all food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure the health of our patrons.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on frying techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
