Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. Our kitchen is open on Friday and Saturday evenings, but other hours would be available at special events run by the Club throughout the year. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, where you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established menus
* Assist in meal preparation and ensure timely service of food items
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes
* Provide excellent service during meal times, including serving food to guests when required
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred
* Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues
* A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers
