Principal duties:
* Prepare and cook meals for residents
* Serve meals in dining room or room of residents choice
* Ensure food is served hot
* Cater for individual needs, including special diets
* Bake and prepare sufficient for teatime
* Prepare weekly shopping list for food and other products required for running the kitchen
* Manage stock control and stock rotation
* Prepare menu with choices if possible and liaise with staff about menu changes
* Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen meets standards laid down by environmental health
* Ensure the kitchen is left clean before finishing the shift
* Ensure cleaning schedule is completed
* Be familiar with COSHH procedures
* Report faulty or damaged equipment
* Attend staff meetings and mandatory training sessions
* To perform other duties as might be reasonably expected
