What You’ll Do
* Development of mathematical models to simulate performance of various physical domains and their interactions.
* Development of analytical and numerical solvers (including time-stepping solvers) to solve ordinary and partial differential equations and differential algebraic equations.
* Software implementation of mathematical models and solvers.
* Extension of proof-of-concepts to full software implementations.
* Documentation of technical methods.
Qualifications
* PhD in Physics, Mathematics, or a relevant Engineering discipline with 3–5 years of experience (exceptional entry-level PhD candidates will be considered), or a master’s with 5–7 years of experience.
* Experience in physics-based modelling.
* Experience in multi-body dynamics or multi-physics simulation would be advantageous.
* Proficiency in object-oriented programming and appreciation for a good software architecture.
* Proficiency in a programming language, preferably C++.
* Collaborative approach and good communication skills.
* Flexibility and willingness to learn and work in other programming languages such as C# and Smalltalk.
