Site Manager
Location: West Midlands, Solihull

Salary: £60,000 - £68,000 per annum

A prestigious housing developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes seeks an experienced Site Manager for a new build housing project in the West Midlands. The ideal candidate is hardworking, personable and demonstrates excellent teamwork skills.
Job Duties
Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives to maintain progress and quality of work.
Monitor site budgets and resources, controlling costs and ensuring efficient use of materials and labour.
Ensure all works are completed on schedule and to the required specification, liaising closely with project managers and other stakeholders.
Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, timesheets and site diaries.
Support the delivery of new build housing projects from groundworks through to completion, adhering to traditional construction methods.
Promote a positive working environment and foster strong relationships with site teams and external parties.
Required Qualifications
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
First Aid at Work certification.
Full, clean driving licence.
Experience
Proven experience managing traditional new build housing sites.
Demonstrable track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and site teams in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge and Skills
Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, health and safety legislation and quality standards.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Competence in using site management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Working Conditions
Primarily site-based role requiring regular visits to construction locations within the West Midlands area.
Full-time hours, with occasional requirement for extended hours to meet project deadlines.

Work involves exposure to typical construction site conditions including outdoor environments, varying weather conditions and use of personal protective equipment.
