Whytematter Staffing Solutions is proud to be partnering with our client, a reputable and forward-thinking organisation based in Belfast, to recruit a standalone HR Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a CIPD Level 7 qualified professional to take full ownership of the HR function, supporting a dynamic team of approximately 60 staff .
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive HR support across the business, acting as the go-to person for all HR matters
* Lead on recruitment, onboarding, induction, and workforce planning
* Manage employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes, in line with current legislation and best practice
* Oversee performance management frameworks and support line managers in appraisals and development planning
* Review and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company culture
* Advise senior leadership on HR strategy, workforce trends, and organisational development
* Support learning and development initiatives, training delivery, and succession planning
* Maintain and analyse HR data and reporting (absence, turnover, engagement) to drive continuous improvement
* Ensure GDPR compliance in all HR documentation and records
* Promote a positive workplace culture that supports staff wellbeing and retention
Essential Criteria
* CIPD Level 7 qualified (or working toward it)
* Proven experience in a standalone HR role or in leading an HR function
* Strong knowledge of UK and NI employment law and HR best practice
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities
* Confident in handling sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office suite
Desirable
* Experience in an SME or professional services environment
* Coaching or mediation qualifications
* Experience implementing or upgrading HR systems
