Quality Engineer - Contract (6 months, ongoing) Location: Lincoln Contract Length: 6 months, potential to extend Hours: 37 hours per week Sector: Aerospace Rate: £38 p/h -£43 p/h An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join an established manufacturing business supporting high-reliability aerospace components within a highly regulated environment. This position will play a key role in supporting quality assurance activities across the full product lifecycle, from development through to production and final release. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliance, continuous improvement, and robust quality processes. Key Responsibilities Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies Support non-conformance investigations and quality improvement activities Conduct internal product and process audits Raise and manage supplier quality notifications Support supplier quality audits and ongoing supplier performance activities Assist with maintaining and improving the Quality Management System Analyse quality data and support KPI development Promote quality awareness and compliance across the business Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment Conversant with problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5Why, RCCA etc.) Strong working knowledge of AS9100 Experience with AS9102 standards would be advantageous Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams High attention to detail and ability to work independently This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and technically focused environment with immediate project demand.
