HR Manager - UK
Job Overview
The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring comprehensive, efficient and effective HR support to the managers and employees and will be working as an experienced generalist across all core HR operations. Works as a trusted partner to deliver organizational goals and high employee satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Working within an international team of HR managers, continuously improves the HR Function service. Implements best practice solutions to HR issues, working within a strategic framework. Manages key stakeholders to support the overall strategic direction of HR and the Company. Plans and manages the recruitment process supporting the hiring manager from start to finish. Manages the HR elements of onboarding and induction of new employees. Manages employee relations, collective agreements, employment law and regulations. Produces relevant reports and Management Information. Day to day administration and updating of HR systems. Responsible for annual processes such as performance, pay and incentives reviews. Supports managers with employee management. Carries out relevant training and development programs. Creates and implements HR policies, processes and procedures. Provides relevant HR information to managers such as an Employee Handbook. Supports and develops HR initiatives and projects to develop the HR function. Manages HR projects successfully.
LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS
Manages Strategic Plans relating to organisational objectives. Responsible for implementing Department level goals and KPIs. Sets individuals goals and KPIs. Responsible for Department level people priorities and initiatives. Reports on progress of people initiatives. Advises on and monitors policy. Guides the team on organisations expectations. Accountable for identifying and addressing gaps.
Qualifications Required
A relevant HR Management degree.
Skills & Knowledge Required
Proficient in HR systems. Skilled in managing change and maintaining effective working relationships. Maintains a calm approach to dealing with issues and resolving them. Knowledge of HR law including union agreements, where applicable. Skilled practitioner of management development. Capable to coach managers. Able to design and implement improvements to the HR function. Requires good Excel skills.
Experience Required
More than ten years of experience in HR including working in an international environment. Experience through the life cycle of HR Management. Experience working within a multinational team. Experience of working with Managers to ensure good practice is applied. Experience of delivering against organisation goals. Experience of HR systems and training users on systems.
TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS
Up to 10% annually, potentially globally.
Additional Requirements
Business English is required.
