We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer for our client based in Belfast (Lanyon Place). The successful candidate will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed. Start date: 28th July Rate of pay: £12.97 Duration: 6 months with possible extension Hours of work: Full time 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday No holidays can be accommodated in the first 8 weeks of employment due to the training for this role. Key Responsibilities:
1. The Housing Benefit Support Team are responsible for looking after rate accounts which are in receipt of NIHE payments for Housing Benefit, Low Income Rate Relief and Lone Pensioner Allowance for tenants.
2. Staff are responsible for ensuring payments from NIHE are allocated to the correct rate accounts and actioning any refunds, account adjustments & ratepayer changes in relation to these accounts.
3. Staff monitor 2 mailboxes and action any emails received, along with any other correspondence received. Staff communicate by phone & email with LPS staff, NIHE staff & ratepayers.
4. Staff also provide weekly statistics on work completed.
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
5. five GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

6. Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
7. Excellent communication skills.
8. Proven ability to use own initiative.
