We’re now looking for an experienced HR Officer to join our team to support all aspects of the employee journey and ensure our people have the best employee experience possible. About the role: This role will initially be a Maternity Cover role for a 12-month fixed term, with a high likelihood of becoming a permanent position based on the Company’s continued growth vector. Based at our site in Sywell Aerodrome and reporting to the HR Manager who can provide support and professional guidance as required, you will be empowered to positively impact all levels of the business. Key tasks will include: First point of contact for all HR queries from managers and employees, including coaching for managers. Ownership of timely and accurate processing of payroll on a monthly basis, including input into our HR System and producing payroll reports. Effectively supporting managers to deal with any employee relation issues that arise including, but not limited to, Disciplinary meetings, Grievance meetings and Absence meetings. Provide mentoring support to the HR Assistant, overseeing their administrative duties and providing cover as required. Deliver the HR induction for new starters and oversee the onboarding process. Contribute to the writing of effective HR Policies and implement them through the business Keep the HR Database up to date with accurate information, noting any staff changes efficiently. Undertake ad hoc projects as and when required. This role is very varied and no two days are the same, the successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, dealing with employees of all different levels. As a nationwide company, regular travel to our other sites will be essential. About you: You will already have some experience in a generalist HR role, probably as a HR Assistant ready to take the next step in your career or as an established HR Officer. You will be a confident communicator, both verbal and written, and be able to quickly build positive working relationships with our managers and our employees. You will have a solutions focussed attitude and a creative ability to foster employee engagement. Payroll is a big aspect of this role and the successful candidate would ideally have experience of processing payroll using software, preferably MHR. You should also have a driving licence and be happy to travel to our other sites regularly.
