Site Manager (Commercial fitout)\n\nDaniel Owen are recruiting a Site Manager (number 2) to join a leading fit out and refurbishment specialist. They company are known for delivering exceptional CAT A and CAT B commercial fit outs with precision, safety, and a passion for detail. They work in partnership with clients, consultants, and designers to create award-winning workplaces that reflect the culture, ambition, and operational needs of the businesses that occupy them.\n\nPosition: Site Manager (number 2)\n\nLocation: Cambridgeshire\n\nSalary: £260.00 - £300.00 per day\n\nContract Type: Long term freelance with temp-perm possible if wanted\n\nStart date: Immediately available\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are looking to appoint a skilled and driven Site Manager (number 2) to assist the Project Manager with operational ownership of a CAT B commercial office fit out project.
This will involve managing all on-site activities from pre-start to completion, ensuring delivery is to the highest standards of quality, health & safety, programme, and client satisfaction.\n\nYou will be responsible for leading a professional subcontractor team in a live commercial environment, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all project elements are coordinated and delivered on time and within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring all works are delivered to programme and quality standards\nLead site inductions, toolbox talks, and enforce safe systems of work in line with HSE policies and CDM regulations\nCoordinate and oversee all subcontractors and trades, ensuring work is sequenced and resourced effectively\nMonitor and manage site logistics, waste, access, deliveries, and cleanliness on a live site\nEnsure all temporary works, permits, RAMS and compliance documentation are in place and up to date\nMaintain detailed site records, reports, and updates for the Project Manager and client\nTake responsibility for achieving a high-end finish and defect-free handover\nFoster a collaborative site culture, championing safety, respect, and team performance \n\nAbout You\n\nWe are looking for a Site Manager (number 2) who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates exceptional leadership, and holds a strong passion for delivering quality commercial interiors.\n\nProven experience as Site Manager on CAT B office fit outs in the £500k-£5m+ range\nTrack record of delivering high-spec finishes to tight programmes in city-centre or occupied buildings\nStrong technical understanding of MEP coordination, partitions, ceilings, joinery, AV integration, and final presentation\nSMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)\nCSCS card (Black or Gold) and First Aid at Work certification\nProficient in project tracking tools and site reporting\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications\nSkilled at managing subcontractors, resolving on-site issues, and maintaining client trust\nA proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication skills \n\nHow to Apply:\n\nIf you are interested in working for this established company, please apply with your updated CV
