About the Role?
Working closely with the HR Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own caseload, providing training, support and advice to managers on absence, health, conduct and capability issues as well as other policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing HR policies and procedures and undertaking other project work as required.
Able to build trust and work collaboratively to identify appropriate outcomes in accordance with policies, procedures and employment legislation, you should have a sound knowledge of employment legislation.
Qualified or in the process of studying for the intermediate or advanced CIPD accreditation, you should be able to demonstrate excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills along with proven experience of dispute resolution and be experienced at training and supporting managers, providing comprehensive HR support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.

Requirements
Using IT packages specifically MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Excellent knowledge and experience of HR management information and learning systems for recording information, completing tasks and generating information and documentation.
Previous experience working in a fast paced HR team, providing advice on HR policies & procedures, employment law & employee relations issues.
Experience of applying policies and procedures consistently and in accordance with legislative requirements.
Experience of dispute resolution and of working effectively & collaboratively with managers/employees, to build trust and support the achievement of appropriate outcomes.
Employment legislation including contract law, equality, diversity, TUPE, along with good understanding of case law and ET rulings.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to present information effectively to a range of audiences, in a manner appropriate to the recipient.
Proven written communication skills including report writing, note taking and the ability to research, draft and revise HR policy or procedure.
