We’re seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Construction team, managing the on-site team, working with external partners and subcontractors, and collaborating with our on-site Sales team. Responsibilities
* Manage the development to maintain and deliver the build programme in accordance with budgets and forecasts, ensuring the final product meets Gleeson Homes standards.
* Take full responsibility and control of all site staff and subcontractors (including labour-only groundworkers/contractors), ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards.
* Liaise with head office, NHBC, Health and Safety, and Local Authority departments.
* Order materials timely to ensure the build programme can be achieved.
* Ensure all NHBC inspections are carried out as required.
* Carry out handover inspections of properties to customers in accordance with customer care procedures.
* Respond promptly to customer care defects in conjunction with the customer care team.
* Promote a philosophy of safety, progress, quality and innovation on site.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience as a Site Manager on high-volume new build housing developments.
* Extensive knowledge and experience of managing labour-only groundworkers/contractors.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent knowledge of construction build programmes.
* Strong commercial awareness.
* Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes.
* Experience of delivering customer service requirements.
* Awareness of codes of practice affecting Construction (e.g., NHBC, Building Regulations).
* Proficiency with Zutec and Digital plot books is mandatory; experience is preferred, with training available if needed.
