The family resides in a beautifully maintained four-bedroom home in Northwood, Hillingdon, West London. Northwood is a leafy and desirable residential area known for its peaceful atmosphere, excellent schools, and charming local amenities. With convenient access to central London and reliable public transport links, this live-out position offers both stability and accessibility for the successful candidate.
Working as a Housekeeper Cook in a private family home requires excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills. The position involves maintaining the cleanliness and order of the residence, carrying out laundry and ironing, and assisting the lady of the house with basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables or preparing ingredients. Candidates with knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly vegetarian or no-meat diets, would be highly valued, although this is not essential.
Responsibilities
* General cleaning and upkeep of all rooms to a high standard.
* Laundry and ironing, ensuring clothing and linens are well cared for.
* Basic food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
* Assisting the lady of the house with cooking and kitchen organisation.
* Maintaining household supplies and keeping the home tidy and well-ordered.
* Adhering to family routines and respecting household privacy and discretion.
* (Preferable) Preparing or assisting with Indian vegetarian dishes.
Qualifications
* Three or more years of private housekeeper cook experience
* Two excellent checkable references
* Conversational English
* UK working permit
