Our client is based in rural Bedfordshire and would be looking for someone to be office based a minimum of 4 days a week in the first instance.
As HR Manager, you’ll work closely with the Managing Director and Operations Director to build and implement HR strategies that support a growing, high-energy team. You’ll be the go-to person for all things people-related, ensuring a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace culture.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading HR initiatives that shape culture, well being, and team development.
* Coaching and supporting managers through training and performance conversations.
* Managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment law.
* Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
* Driving recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
* Supporting the leadership team in fostering a high-performance, people-centric environment.
Ideal experience:
* Proven experience as an HR Manager or experienced HR Coordinator
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
* Hands-on people management experience, including managing direct reports.
* Strong understanding of employment law and its practical application.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in a service-based business environment or in the publishing / creative industries is highly desirable.
