Our inspection, identify disrepair issues such as damp, mold, and leaks, and gather photographic and video evidence to support legal claims. This is a door-to-door role requiring excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to tenants. The role involves travel to various cities from time to time and direct interaction with clients.
Conduct thorough property inspections of council and housing association properties to identify and assess disrepair issues, including damp, mold, leaks, and other relevant defects.
Document findings accurately through detailed reports, photographic evidence, and video footage suitable for legal proceedings.
Communicate effectively with tenants to explain the inspection process, address their concerns, and build rapport.
Explain the process of making a claim to the tenants and the role of the sales surveyor in the process. Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations during property inspections. Maintain accurate records of all inspections and client interactions.
Manage your own schedule and prioritize appointments efficiently. Travel extensively to various locations across the UK to conduct property inspections.
Stay updated on relevant housing legislation and regulations. Liaise with solicitors and other legal professionals as required. Maintain a professional and ethical approach in all interactions.
Proven experience in a door-to-door sales or customer-facing role is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with tenants.
Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to identify and assess common property disrepair issues. Proficiency in using digital cameras and video recording equipment. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle are required. Knowledge of housing disrepair legislation and regulations is desirable but not essential
