Overview
Site Manager (Orchard House High School). Grade 6, permanent, 35 hours per week, all year round. Starting salary £32,115 per annum. Role to start as soon as pre-employment checks are complete.
We’re Looking For
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and skilled Site Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, safety, and security of our brand new school premises, ensuring that the site is safe, clean, and fully operational at all times. This role is crucial to supporting the smooth running of the school and creating an environment where learners can thrive.
You will have previously operated in a senior Caretaking/Site supervisor position with excellent health and safety knowledge. Experience in a school environment is desirable. A full driving licence is essential. Experience of managing a budget and preparing costed plans for repairs and maintenance would be advantageous.
Main Purpose Of The Job
You will support the Head Teacher and Trust Head of Estates by taking responsibility for ensuring that identified school sites and associated buildings and facilities are operated in full compliance with the Trust’s Estate Strategy and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage other estates staff including allocation and monitoring of work, performance appraisal, and supervision of external contractors on site.
* Be a responsible key holder and manage maintenance, security and facilities systems on site including alarm systems, CCTV and surveillance systems.
* Oversee day-to-day management, monitoring and evaluation of planned, cyclical and legislative maintenance delivered by contractors; ensure compliance certification and documentation are up to date.
* Ensure in-house technical inspections and testing related to estates activities are undertaken and recorded in line with Trust processes, including fire bells tests and checks of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and fire doors.
* Establish constructive relationships and communication with external contractors and other agencies/professionals; record performance against specified standards.
* Maintain a high standard of cleaning, maintenance, security and grounds maintenance across the school, internally and externally.
* Support the liaison and negotiation of contractual agreements for the school and ensure adherence by all parties.
* Monitor performance of estates-related contracts and record performance against specified standards.
