We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of airside construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure all site activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with strict airport regulations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to deliver projects to programme and quality standards within a secure environment. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery * Manage on-site construction operations from mobilisation through to completion. * Ensure programme milestones and deadlines are met. * Oversee quality control and compliance with design specifications. Airside Compliance & Safety * Ensure all operations comply with airport authority rules and security protocols. * Manage airside vehicle permits, escorts, and staff clearances. * Conduct regular safety inspections and audits. Team Leadership * Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and labour. * Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and progress meetings. * Mentor junior staff and supervisors. Stakeholder & Client Liaison * Liaise with client representatives, airport operations, consultants, and suppliers. * Attend coordination meetings and resolve site issues. * Provide progress reports to senior management. Logistics & Resource Management * Oversee site logistics including deliveries, equipment access, and storage. * Ensure efficient use of labour, plant, and materials. * Support procurement and scheduling of resources. Requirements * Proven experience managing construction projects. * Previous airside or major infrastructure project experience essential. * Strong knowledge of airside operations, airport regulations, and site safety. * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Experience managing subcontractors and large site teams in secure environments. * Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline. * SMSTS certified. * First Aid, Manual Handling, and Fire Warden certifications. * Ability to pass pre-employment checks including DBS and airside clearance. Desirable: * Experience with construction software (e.g. Asta, Primavera, Procore). * Experience in live airport terminal/apron works. * Knowledge of Lean Construction and environmental compliance. * Valid airside pass and driving permit.
