The Opportunity
The Site Manager will be responsible for managing sites across the UK including Mechanical, Electrical and Civil site teams. This will include planning for mobilization, coordination of contractor, staff site inductions and where required ensuring necessary welfare, documentation and plant are in place to ensure site works commence on time and are adequately resourced in line with project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance with company policies, CDM 2015, and health & safety regulations.
* Lead and coordinate all site operations: civil, mechanical, electrical, and lifting.
* Approve RAMS, SSOW, lift plans; manage permits and safety briefings.
* Oversee operatives: task allocation, attendance, training, and PPE use.
* Plan and manage site mobilisation across multiple engineering disciplines.
* Coordinate contractor activities and staff inductions.
* Ensure welfare facilities, documentation, and plant are in place for site commencement.
* Monitor site progress to meet project schedules and budget targets.
* Manage deliveries, meetings, and subcontractor coordination.
* Ensure equipment safety, certification, and site cleanliness.
* Resolve queries, uphold quality standards, and report incidents.
* Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
* Travel and weekend work may be required.
What We’re Looking For
Professional Experience
* HNC/HND in a technical or engineering discipline
* NVQ Level 6 in Construction Site Management
* Proven track record in a similar site management role
* Excellent planning and leadership skills
* Flexibility to travel and manage multiple locations
* Excellent customer service orientation and stakeholder communication
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Health & Safety Training
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent
* CNSG Safety Passport
* Strong understanding of COSHH regulations
Specialist Knowledge
* Familiarity with CDM regulations for Principal Contractors
* Competent in producing and reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Lift Plans
Additional Credentials
* Temporary Works Coordinator certification
* Full, valid UK Driving Licence
