We’re working with a leading EPC service provider delivering large-scale renewable and grid infrastructure projects across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a grid-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Hartlepool.
The Role
As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all on-site operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. You’ll coordinate with subcontractors, oversee progress and quality, and work closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams to deliver a key renewable infrastructure project on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily site operations for a large-scale BESS project in Hartlepool.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Enforce HSE standards and company procedures across all site activities.
* Monitor project progress and report updates, risks, and issues to the Project Manager.
* Coordinate with design and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
* Maintain strong communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
About You
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within renewable energy, grid, or infrastructure projects.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems; BESS or substation experience advantageous.
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* SMSTS / SSSTS certification preferred.
* Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work on-site in Hartlepool.
