A day in the life of a Labour Coordinator:
As a Labour Coordinator, you will ensure effective and cost-efficient labour planning for the factory. Responsibilities include:
* Using the local labour planning system (DLM) and GLOBE to ensure appropriate skills are available for shifts.
* Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially data extraction.
* Producing effective reports for factory Managers.
* Handling last-minute changes and disruptions efficiently.
* Challenging processes and solving problems dynamically while ensuring fairness and consistency.
* Liaising with Shift Managers and Supply Planners to support production plans.
* Managing plan changes, site attendance spreadsheets, overtime, and hours data.
* Representing labour planning in factory DOR/WOR and organizing overtime.
* Considering shift patterns, fairness, skills, training, holidays, absence, and compliance guidelines.
* Maintaining holiday and overtime data within the system.
* Using “Additional Hours” contracts effectively to ensure timely consumption.

The successful candidate will be confident, able to challenge effectively, and proficient with various IT systems. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a tenacious, solutions-oriented approach are essential. Attributes include:
* Ability to deal with people at all levels.
* Initiative and innovative ideas to improve labour planning.
* Courteous communication skills, both face-to-face and via telephone.
* Proficiency in GLOBE and MS Excel.
* Understanding of manufacturing and supply planning inter-relationships.
* Good planning and forecasting skills.
