Your purpose will be:
This position is responsible for supporting the Sales Manager in sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget in executing the sales strategy of the Hotel.
Job Description
1. Maintain complete knowledge of the following (to include but not limited to):All hotel features / services, hours of operationHotel function space, entertainment options, Wellness, Golf and menus and floral decoration optionsHotel safety guidelines and evacuation planScheduled daily group activities
2. Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant manner using Hotel’s telephone etiquette guidelines. Handle telephone enquiries according to departmental procedure
3. Coordinate all group arrangements
4. Work with group contacts to facilitate program planning and requirements
5. Communicate group needs and specifications to all relevant departments
6. Follow up with Post-Conference reports and review group billings
7. Input all group bookings and update booking activities in the system on a weekly basis
8. Prepare reports, maintain proper records and filing system in accordance to hotel’s sales administration process
9. Maintain gifts inventory and coordinate the sending of gifts to clients
10. Arrange site inspections for potential clients
11. Promote positive relations with clients and attend to all requests expediently and courteously
12. Acknowledge and handle clients’ complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently. Report incidents or other irregularities to management
13. Up-sell and promote hotel’s facilities and services at every available opportunity in order to maximize sales revenue
Qualifications
14. Diploma in Tourism / Hospitality Management / Events Management
15. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
16. Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
17. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint
18. Ability to engage effectively with luxury clientele and senior stakeholders
19. Upholds brand standards for professional conduct and presentation
