We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Manager to join our friendly Practice team.
The hours of work are as follows:
35 hours per week across:
Monday 08:00-18:00
Tuesday 08:00-13:00
Thursday 13:00-18:00
Friday 08:00-18:00
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our Practice Reception and Administration team ensuring high performance standards are maintained, and overseeing all aspects of employee relations, recruitment and compliance.
The post-holder will also work closely with the Practice Manager to provide the continual improvement of standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity.
The successful candidate will have/be:
* A minimum of two years experience of managing a team, preferably within a healthcare setting
* A strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
* Experience in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel) and HR information systems

Main duties of the job
The successful post-holder shall:
Managing core HR departmental areas including employee relations, HR administration, learning and development, internal recruitment, employee engagement and maintaining and improving HR systems
Monitor staff attendance including punctuality and sickness absence in line with relevant HR policies.
Monitoring Trainee sickness and reporting this to medical staffing
Undertake difficult conversations and disciplinary procedures, where necessary, with team members.
Undertake administrative team initial reviews, performance reviews, and appraisals as required to drive high performance.
Support the Practice Manager in the recruitment and induction of all new reception and administration staff, as well as Clinical Staff when required.:
Undertake and complete the on-boarding process and staff induction
Authorise and manage annual leave requests and staff entitlement.
Providing support and ensuring training for current and new staff is carried out.
Delivering a relevant Policy of the Month to the whole Practice Team.
Ensuring all aspects of employment law and other relevant regulation and legislation are applied and upheld.Managing the implementation of employment policies.
Nurture a positive working environment.
Be a point of contact for staff and patient queries and concerns.
Maintain confidentiality of information.

Job responsibilities
The role is primarily managing the Practice Receptionand Administration team alongside our Administration and Reception Leads, carrying out day to day activities, alongside dealingwith HR related queries or issues as they arise.
The post holder will work closely with the Leads and underthe direction of the Practice Manager as a member of the Practices SeniorManagement Team (SMT) to provide the continual improvement of standards acrossa wide range of clinical and administrative activity, as well as providing anelement of cover or source of advice in the event of their absence.
The successful candidate must be able to work on their owninitiative and have some supervisory experience, along with strong IT skills.You must be organised and confident, have a friendly and approachable mannerand can work under pressure.
Previous primary care experience is not essential as fulltraining will be provided.
