About the Role
This role is at the heart of our coffee shop, preparing and serving delicious food and drinks while helping create a warm and friendly atmosphere. You'll have the exciting opportunity to design and prepare our food menu within the parameters of our kitchen space and equipment — bringing your creativity and flair to our offering.
Day-to-day, you'll:
* Prepare and cook food for our menu.
* Take creative ownership of menu development (within our kitchen facilities).
* Learn to make and serve quality coffee (training provided if needed).
* Support front-of-house during busy periods or when covering team breaks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to food safety guidelines at all times.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
* Provide help and support to colleagues as required, fostering a positive team environment.
* Occasionally support with social media by photographing and promoting our food offering.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
* Experienced and passionate about food preparation and cooking.
* Creative, with an eye for menu development and presentation.
* A real team player who's happy to help out wherever needed.
* Able to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, buzzing environment.
* Flexible and willing to learn barista and front-of-house skills.
* Organised, reliable, and able to juggle tasks with a smile.
* Your ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and provide exceptional customer service will be essential in ensuring a delightful experience for our customers.
* Bonus: an eye for photography and social media marketing.
