Your main objective is to build and manage a comprehensive data repository designed as a semantic layer on Snowflake to meet the varied needs of front office stakeholders, systems, and clients. This position reports directly to the Head of Investments Technology and works closely with key stakeholders in the business, IT, and the enterprise data management group to ensure compliance with data governance, quality standards, and best practices. Key responsibilities include: Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust data repository on Snowflake, ensuring it serves as an effective semantic layer for aggregating and organizing data for access and analysis by Investments and Technology teams. Develop and implement a data consumption strategy, including creating Excel Add-ins, and APIs, to efficiently distribute data to end-users and support decision-making processes. Develop effective relationships with investment areas, data operations, core platforms technology, and other JHI teams to support the delivery of data-related services to our Investments Stakeholders Work in partnership with the enterprise data management group to align the data repository with data governance and quality standards. Deep knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake and its application as a semantic layer for data repositories. Practical understanding of core investments data domains across Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternatives. Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent collaboration and partnership skills, with experience in driving data governance and quality across departments. Proven track record of developing and implementing technology solutions that drive business success. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop talent. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with modern technology stacks, agile methodologies, and cloud computing Experience of working with geographically disperse development teams Nice to have skills Experience of Azure or other cloud platforms. Experience of micro-service development and API development Background in Product Management and Agile delivery methodologies Degree educated in mathematics or scientific/engineering discipline. CFA or similar industry qualification Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL, Python and cloud-native ETL/ELT tools.
