Job Overview About the Role We are looking for a compassionate, resilient, and proactive Learning Mentor to join our dedicated team at Odyssey House School, Wokingham a specialist setting for pupils with ASD, ADHD, EBSA and anxieties. This role is vital in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of our students, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and thrive in a nurturing environment. Key Responsibilities Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their engagement and wellbeing. Work closely with teaching staff, therapists, and families to implement personalised support strategies. Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and confidence building. Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing coping strategies. Monitor and record progress, contributing to reviews and support plans. Promote inclusion and independence both in and out of the classroom. Person Specification Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly those with autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties. A calm, empathetic, and patient approach. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexibly as part of a multidisciplinary team. Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential. What We Offer A supportive and inclusive school community.
