About the Opportunity;
My client, a global leader in the manufacturing industry is looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager on a 12 month FTC to join one of its most critical UK manufacturing sites based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. With a worldwide workforce, this organisation is at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and purpose-led growth. This is a high-impact, site-based role supporting a non-unionised site with employees across complex shift patterns. The site is undergoing a period of positive transformation, with a strong focus on leadership development, cultural maturity, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Include;
1. Act as a trusted HR partner to the site leadership team, delivering both strategic guidance and operational support.
2. Lead on absence management, recruitment, and retention strategies to ensure a stable and engaged workforce.
3. Manage complex employee relations issues with confidence, autonomy, and fairness.
4. Coach and develop line managers to build leadership capability and consistency across teams.
5. Support the reorganisation and optimisation of shift patterns, ensuring alignment with business needs and employee wellbeing.
6. Contribute to wider UK HR initiatives, including EDI, talent development, and employee engagement programmes.
