We’re looking for a hands‑on Quality Manager to take ownership of quality across our business.
This will be a varied role working closely with production, engineering and suppliers to solve problems, improve processes and raise standards. You’ll play a key role in shaping how quality is done at Watson, with the autonomy to make real improvements and the expectation that you’ll lead from the front.
Responsibilities
* Manage and carry out problem management within the business to ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
* Creating new standards and processes within the business to improve Quality.
* Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring it supports the needs of a fast‑moving manufacturing environment
* Be a visible presence on the shop floor, working directly with teams to resolve issues and improve processes
* Support the engineering team with new products, product updates and corrective actions.
* Support the purchasing team with ensuring incoming material and products meet Watson Gym Equipment standards.
* Be responsible for the Quality control and Quality assurance of all products
* Carry out continuous improvement activities where required in all areas of the business.
* Lead and develop the quality team, setting clear expectations and standards
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in a hands‑on Quality role within manufacturing
* Experience in using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodology (8D, Six sigma, Ishikawa, FTA etc…)
* Working knowledge of manufacturing methods such as Welding, fabrication, machining, laser cutting.
* Experience working with suppliers on quality improvement
* organisation, able to identify what areas need this and implement action plans.
* Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Strong stakeholder management, an ability to align multiple areas of the business to a common goal and managing friction when it arises.
* People leadership experience with the confidence to set expectations, hold standards and give direction to team
* Be a self‑starter, able to use experience and knowledge to determine where focus of the Quality team needs to be directed.
* Have a collaborative and practical attitude with a willingness to get involved in every area of the business.
Nice to have
* Experience with CAD (e.g. SolidWorks)
* Exposure to aftersales / customer quality
