X4 Technology are partnered with a leading energy trading firm to hire a Contract UI Software Developer for a high-priority ETRM transformation. The programme focuses on moving from a legacy in-house platform to a modern, cloud-hosted ecosystem, with the goal of delivering UI-heavy, data-driven trading and analytics applications.
Responsibilities for the Contract Frontend Software Developer (Commodities):
* Design and build high-quality web applications (React, Svelte, TypeScript)
* Develop reusable components aligned to enterprise design systems
* Collaborate with UX/UI to deliver intuitive, accessible interfaces
* Integrate with backend APIs (REST / GraphQL)
* Support CI/CD, testing, and code quality practices
* Contribute to code reviews and technical design
* Troubleshoot performance and cross-browser issues
* Work within Agile delivery teams
Requirements for the Contract Frontend Software Developer (Commodities):
* Experience building UI-heavy, data-driven trading applications
* Strong React + TypeScript (Svelte desirable)
* Modern JavaScript (ES6+) and component-based architecture
* State management (Redux, Context API or similar)
* HTML5, CSS3, responsive design
* API integration and async data handling
* Testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
* Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
