Job description:
Highways Labourers – Saltash
Our clients require Highway Labourers to work with and assist qualified operatives
Due to the nature of the industry each role would require a certain flexibility and must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required
Successful candidates for any Highways Operative should have
1. Ability to work as part of a team
2. Ability to carry out work to a high standard
3. Good communication skills
4. Good timekeeping skills
5. Willingness and flexibility to undertake some shifts out of normal working hours
6. Willingness to carry out other tasks upon request
7. Ability to always maintain Health and Safety standards
8. A “can do” and responsible attitude to work.
Applicants must
9. Have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points
10. Minimum 1 year driving experience
11. Be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test on induction
12. CSCS, Street works, or Traffic Management qualifications are desirable, but consideration is given for those without
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday, days or nights with some weekend and bank holidays when required
Rate of Pay:
££ per hour depending upon experience
These will be PAYE positions so you will benefit from:
13. Accrued Holiday Pay from day one
14. Pension contributions (after a qualifying period)
15. Weekly Pay
16. No umbrella payments or fees
17. Only Tax and National Insurance deductions and this will be shown on your payslip.
This will start as a temporary role but could become permanent after 3 months dependant on your performance.
