Shift & Schedule – Rolling 5 days out of 7 including weekends – Day shifts 8am-4.30pm

Experience
· Food Hygiene Level 2 & Allergy Trained (preferably)
· Minimum 2 years experience working in a kitchen (must)
· Able to work with your team or alone

Person Specification
This role requires a qualification in catering or at least two years working in a similar role.
Problem solving skills – finding solutions to challenges whilst remaining compliant.
Communication skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Organisational, planning and thoroughness in all areas of the role
Collaborative working – Working with the wider kitchen team to deliver food in addition to the regular menu to recipe and allergen standards.
Job Purpose
To work as a team to prepare, cook and serve all items required for the days service in a safe, economical manner in accordance with current H&S food legislation.
To wow our customers with great food.
Main Duties (please note this list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to carry out other tasks or work within other areas of the business from time to time)
* Deliver breakfast and lunch menu as directed by the kitchen or shift leader (once every few months we host events which you may be required to work)
* Being aware of and putting into practice all elements of food and allergen safety
* Monitor stock levels and security of goods in stores or kitchen
* Maintaining a clean, safe and compliant environment
* Assist in stock ordering and security in conjunction with the kitchen leader
* Ensuring the FoH team have a good knowledge of the menu and its allergens so they can inform customers accurately
* To assist the kitchen and team leader with creating menu items, recipes and develop dishes in line with our wider vision of more vegan and vegetarian recipes; and suggesting new ideas
* Preparing food in advance for chilling or freezing in line with kitchen leader's instruction
* Familiarising yourself with industry best practice and applying this standard to your role
* Managing your time in line with kitchen deadlines
* Being prepared to learn new cooking methods
* High level of attention to detail
* Having an awareness and practice all manual handling techniques
* Having an awareness and put into practice all COSHH and chemical safety guidelines
