Learning Mentor
Pay: £(Apply online only) per day
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 | Contract: Long-term with potential to go permanent
Empowering Learning are seeking a Learning Mentor to join a secondary school in East London, supporting students with behaviour, SEN, SEM providing targeted interventions to help improve progress, engagement and development.
This Learning Mentor role will involve working 1:1, running small-group interventions, offering behaviour coaching and supporting students across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You'll play a key part in improving behaviour, attendance and classroom routines so students can access their full curriculum and maintain steady progression.

Key responsibilities
* Deliver behaviour, SEN and SEMH support across the school
* Run academic and pastoral interventions to improve attainment and engagement
* Support students 1:1 and in small groups during lessons or structured sessions
* Work closely with pastoral, behaviour and SEN teams
* Help students routines, expectations and challenges
* Support learning across the full curriculum, encouraging positive progression
What the school are looking for
* Experience in behaviour support, mentoring, youth work, SEN or SEMH
* Confident behaviour management and the ability to build trust quickly
* Clear communication and strong organisational skills
* Someone who wants to support student development and long‑term progression
* A calm, reliable presence who can work well with staff, families and outside agencies
