The Role
The post holder is required to fulfil the professional responsibilities common to all classroom teachers, as outlined in the current School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document. The key purpose of the role is to secure high standards of teaching, learning and achievement in Science, ensuring that all students make strong progress and are supported to reach their full potential. The post holder is accountable to the Curriculum Leader, Senior Leaders and ultimately the Headteacher.

Key Responsibilities
* Promote the academic progress, wellbeing and positive behaviour of all students
* Plan and deliver high‑quality, inclusive lessons across Science
* Contribute to the development of an ambitious Science curriculum
* Assess, monitor and report on progress, implementing timely interventions
* Work collaboratively within the Science team to support the school’s vision
* Reflect on and improve practice through professional development and shared expertise
* Support curriculum development, examinations and school improvement priorities
* Participate in meetings, duties and enrichment activities as required
* Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers and external partners
