Within DBS, the Digital, Information & Technology (DIT) team is responsible for the management, support, and delivery of DBS information technology systems and the provision of accurate and timely management information to our customers. This role supports thousands of users across defence, utilizing Oracle EBusiness Suite for Finance and Commercial activities, and Remedy for core change, case, and incident management.
As a Software Developer, your responsibilities include:
1. Supporting live services, implementing all associated changes, and managing incident resolution.
2. Supporting live systems, delivering minor changes, and supporting projects within a service line.
3. Managing user relationships, investigating and resolving issues independently, and escalating when necessary.
4. Developing software to meet user needs, conducting unit testing, and following release management protocols.
5. Assisting with system design creation, incident management, software development, testing, and documentation.
6. Managing stakeholder relationships and handling change requests from impact assessment to rollout.
7. Providing support during Oracle's rolling release process, including assessment, advising, configuration, testing, and support into live environment.

* Experience with Government Digital and Data Profession Capability Framework at Service Support Level and Programming and Build Level.
