Hays are partnering with a public sector organisation to recruit for a temporary Admin Assistant.
Your new role
1. Deliver professional administrative support for the Association.
2. Handle general admin tasks, including taking and passing on messages.
3. Respond to routine operational queries or refer them as needed.
4. Help plan and organise meetings and events, including logistics and setup.
5. Provide admin and secretarial support, including document handling, data entry, andmunication.
6. Travel to meetings to take and distribute accurate minutes.
7. Create promotional materials like leaflets, invites, and agendas.
8. Support tenants with mobility challenges.
9. Maintain and organise records and document systems, both physical and digital.
10. Update databases and generate reports and performance stats.
11. Perform occasional physical tasks like setting up event equipment.
12. Transport equipment to and from storage for events.
13. Assist with file archiving and arranging storage or transport.
What you'll need to succeed
14. 2 GCSEs or equivalent AND 6 months’ experience in an office environment OR 1 years’ experience in an administrative role
15. Proficient use of a range of IT packages including Microsoft
16. Strongmunication skills (both written & verbal)
17. Good organisation and time management skills
18. Minute taking
19. Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car.
